Privacy Policy

Rivit (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal information — including the job data, client details and photos you enter — when you use our mobile application Rivit: Cost Estimator (the “App”).
By using the App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Information We Collect
- Account Information: Email address, business details and authentication tokens.
- Job & Estimate Data: Project descriptions, measurements, line items, material and labour costs, markups, and the estimates, bids and quotes you generate.
- Client Information You Enter: Names, addresses and contact details of your customers, where you add them to a job, bid or quote.
- Photos You Add: Job-site or project photos you attach to an estimate.
- Subscription & Purchase Information: Subscription tier, status and transaction data.
- Usage Information: Feature usage, device type, OS, IP, and crash logs.
- Advertising & Analytics Identifiers: Device and advertising identifiers used to measure and promote the App. See section 6.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To generate cost estimates from the job details you provide, using AI.
- To produce client-ready bids, quotes and PDF documents.
- To calculate markups and track profit across your jobs.
- To sync your jobs and estimates across your devices.
- To manage your subscription and restore purchases.
- To understand feature usage and improve performance.
3. Estimates and AI Processing
When you request an estimate, the job details you have entered are sent to a third-party AI model provider, which returns a suggested cost breakdown.
- Processing: Job descriptions and line items are transmitted for the purpose of generating that estimate, and the result is stored with your account.
- No training: Your job data is not used to train our own models.
- Estimates are indicative: Output is a starting point for your own professional judgement, not a quote or a guarantee of cost. You remain responsible for what you send to your client.
4. Photos You Add
We only collect photos that you choose to attach to a job or estimate. We do not scan your device library.
- Retention: Photos are kept with the job until you delete them or delete your account.
- Third Parties: Photos are not sold, and are not shared with advertising partners.
5. Client Data and Your Responsibilities
Rivit is a professional tool, and the client details you enter are personal data belonging to other people. For that information you are the data controller and we act as your processor: we store and process it only to provide the App to you.
You are responsible for having a lawful basis to enter your clients’ details, for telling them how their data is used, and for responding to any request they make about it. We will help you access, export or delete client data on request.
6. Advertising and Analytics
We work with advertising and analytics partners to measure how people find the App and how it performs. This may involve sharing advertising and device identifiers, and in some cases tracking activity across other companies’ apps and websites for advertising purposes.
On iOS we ask for your permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt before tracking you across other companies’ apps and websites, and you can change your answer at any time in your device settings. Your job data, client details and photos are never shared with advertising partners.

8. User Rights
You may request to access, delete, or correct your data, or withdraw consent. These actions can be done via the app or by contacting us at simon@smallstack.dk.
9. Children’s Privacy
This app is a professional tool and is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If discovered, we delete it immediately.
10. Security
- HTTPS encryption for all communication.
- Secure authentication and token-based access control.
- Regular vulnerability assessments.
11. Subscription Terms
Rivit offers auto-renewable subscriptions billed via your Apple ID, including a free trial. You will be charged unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial or billing period ends. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple settings.
The total billed amount is always displayed more prominently than any calculated monthly equivalent.
12. Camera & Photo Access
Camera and photo access is only requested when you choose to attach a photo to a job. Buttons use terms like “Continue” or “Next”, never “Allow”, to comply with platform guidelines.
13. Data Retention
- Account, job, estimate, client and photo data: Retained until deleted by the user.
- Subscription data: Retained as required by law or regulation.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. Significant changes will be communicated in-app. Continued use after changes implies acceptance.
